Your Education (for free!)
A long but in no
way extensive list of classes in a variety of topics. These are mostly MOOC
(mass open online courses) and take a pretty high amount of self discipline and
dedication. I did all seven classes with Philanthropy University to get my
Social Sector Leadership Certificate and I have had "International Women's Health and Human Rights" on my list for a
while. I'll take those when I find more time.

Learn a Language
This is your
gateway into other cultures. I did a GSI (guided self instruction) at graduate
school - it was so hard! But totally worth it. Set aside time every week or
even every day for studying. Make sure you a reading, writing, listening, and
speaking!

Gender
It's so sad to me
that this needs to be a category. There are tool kits on how to include
"gender" into planning and evaluation. There are "gender
specialist" in the field - aka people who remember that the world is
overwhelmed by patriarchy and nothing effects women and men the same. Therefore
this difference needs to be examined because more often than not - it
disenfranchises and marginalizes the women even more. But anways... educate
